  1. So what's wrong making Africa the major food basket of the world. What's wrong. I don't get it. May be the ability for US to use food as weapon will be eroded. Remember 500,000 Iraqi children have been starved with sanctions.

  2. When US ability to use food as weapon ( Iraqis children starved in 90s) is eroded, it become a national security threat for them. So to prevent China being less dependent of US food export, US is determined to prevent Africa become a major food basket. Regime change, democracy is in the agenda
