  1. Lie to whom?? Why lie?? They dont need to compete for elections. So why should they lie. People in China judge their government simply by their standard of living and those of their friends snd relatives. Whether they are improving or not.

  2. At the end of the day, GDP figures have no importance. What matters is the livelihood of you, your family, your close relatives and friends. If by and large it is improving it means the government is doing well. No neef to question whether the GDP figure is correct or not
