  1. 2 decades ago, there was a group of Westerners who were against trade with China for IDEOLOGICAL reasons. But there was another group who were in favor simply because of huge profits. So the second group came up with an argument to support their position : You know what... If we engage trade with China.. China will enrich and become democratic.. blah.. blah.. The reality is that they are only driven by PROFITS. To say that they at that time they believed that China would change to democracy is TOTAL BS. The thing is that they believed that China will always produce low end goods. Can all those who say that " The West trade with China in the belief that China would change and become democratic" why the West is actually trading with COMMUNIST VIETNAM
