  1. If instead of China it was UK, France or Germany or Russia having a GDP of USD18 Trillion economy competing against US then for sure we would already fall in the Thucydides Trap. Thucydides Trap applies only when both parties are warmongers but if one party is, rational like China, then there is a bigger chance that peace will prevail
