  39. At that time Chinese policemen were not equipped with Riot Gear. In videos we can see they controlled the crowd barehanded, no shields or batons. This is the reason why the tanks were deployed but there is no footage to really show that the tanks really roll on the protestors. In US Policemen though well equipped with Riot Gears are also armed with guns and don't hesitate to shoot and kill. Every year police in US kill 20,000 people in duty, many innocents

  44. If I were a protestor I would be more scared of policemen (like in US) armed with guns and who can shoot and kill in all directions at 100M range rather than slow moving tanks. Chinese policemen confronted protestors bare hands whereas in US the Policemen are equipped with paramilitary gear and armed with guns, batons, pepper powder and sometimes dogs.
