  1. I always use the Airport Limousine bus from and to the airport while in Tokyo, so I don't have to navigate the trains since I travel heavy with at least 1 large suitcase and 1 carry-on. Another option is sending your luggage to your accommodation with yamato transport, but the Limousine bus is cheaper and it allows you to check in 2 suitcases in their luggage space.

  2. I solo traveled in Tokyo this year and planned my days around restaurants and bars I wanted to visit, and planned + made reservations accordingly. I also went to the Ghibli Museum and Shibuya Sky. Took a day trip to Kamakura and Yokohama too. Tokyo is perfectly enjoyable on your own, there's so much to see and do!
