  1. What an ignorant statement. Zelensky is a fully qualified lawyer who happens to come from a very wealthy background. He risks his life every single day for his country. He is a real hero in every sense of the word. While Putin cowers away in his bunker or sends out doubles, Zelensky risks his life meeting troops on the ground. You are very foolish for an Irishman if you can’t see the danger to your own lifestyle and country should Putin fully take Ukraine. He’s not going to stop there as his plan is to continue taking countries like Latvia, Poland, Lithuania etc. Please read his speech of July 2021 where he lays out his full imperial agenda for all to see. Russia was party to that agreement too but chose to invade Ukraine instead. Britain and the US are still bound by that promise. Not only that, but the UN Charter as well.

However, the Russian economy certainly appears to be in severe trouble. That's the growing consensus across the board from learned economists worldwide. Even Putin himself has admitted that it's not good.

In exchange, the U.S., the U.K. and Russia would guarantee Ukraine's security in a 1994 agreement known as the Budapest Memorandum. So, the US and the UK are helping Ukraine to defend itself as per the agreement. Russia on the other hand, attacked Ukraine. It's easy know who the bad actor is. 😊

No treaty signed by NATO Allies and Russia included provisions on NATO membership. Decisions on NATO membership are taken by consensus among all Allies. Russia does not have a veto. The idea of NATO enlargement beyond a united Germany was not on the agenda in 1989, particularly as the Warsaw Pact still existed until 1991. Mikhail Gorbachev said in an interview in 2014: "The topic of 'NATO expansion' was not discussed at all, and it wasn't brought up in those years. I say this with full responsibility. Not a single Eastern European country raised the issue, not even after the Warsaw Pact ceased to exist in 1991. Western leaders didn't bring it up either." Individual Allies cannot make agreements on NATO’s behalf.
