  1.  @MartijnVos  at some point they are experimenting with how to slow down cyclists at hotspots. In a way similar like they do with cars.

  2.  @noosebrother  There are often not even a dedicated crosswalk near. and it's not that people don't pay attention. more the opposite because they are not at a dedicated crosswalk they will pay much more attention.
