  1.  @Wiejeben  the joke is out side of the Netherlands it still is mostly Dutch dredging companies doing the reclamation work. (BosKalis or Van Oort)

  2. here in the Netherlands we are actually in the process to give reclaimed land back to the sea. with the aim to give space for marine biodiversity to get better.

  4. my father was involved in the creation of the island it self. back in 1994 when the island it self was done. I was one of the very first children standing on the island even before the airport it self was build.
