@doug132639 how do you mean? Boeing's Jumbo already are capable of being true freighters. If Airbus could convert there jumbo's in to full freighters (higher decks with full carry capacity) They would be a very good addition to the cargo only lines.

hmm that makes me thinking. Would a commercial aircraft carrier work?

i never knew Tom Scott was a pilot.

a passenger Mig-21. 1 pilot 1 passenger and go. Flying so fast you don't even need peanuts. O and suitcase on goes in the bomb bay luggage compartment. It's just a converted training Mig. only new paint.

@chrismckellar9350 It could how ever be interesting for a starting airline. If they want aircraft's faster then the back log of both Boeing and Airbus will allow. The MC 21 could play in that marked do to a overall shorter list to start with. If the handling of the models are nice it may help liners to keep going with the MC 21.

@ElectricUAM if the aircraft is empty it is not really that hard. For there size they are very light.

@ElectricUAM No it's still not nothing but a full loaded and fuelled aircraft is very different then a empty one with the absolute minimal of fuel. If people have succeeded on pulling a aircraft forward. Then sure a car can. In the end the biggest hurdle is the very first centimeter. after the wheels are turning it takes very little effort to maintain. https://youtu.be/008hKJgOjIc

@KapiteinKrentebol no you have to bring your own bag. or pay € 25,99 (don't want to pay get of the plain).

sounds like something for Ryanair. No seats no nothing just a hold. good luck.
1
@uriblaketheriddimprotege not just some. all are standing space and some premium economy jump seats.

@cheekymescalito3249 '' Also, loading passenger planes through passenger doors is normal in 2020, it's almost industry standard.'' I am now imagining crew trying to shove a entire plane through the passenger door of a other plain. It might be a bit to much.

the A340-8000? I don't think that the royal house of Saudi will give much info on how they use there air fleet in general. but safe to say if they wished to do so they can. Depending on who is being flown. If it's the king then will fly out big. (he takes his entire court with him)

@andyowens5494 no i mean that the middle floor would be usable. make it strong enough to also be able to hold cargo. similar as they can do in the cargo space below.
1
@peterebel7899 did you actually read what i said. I never said that they are able. but if they could do that would have been interesting. if money is not the issue it is still possible but you will have to build a A380 based plain with the intend to make it a freighter. They could replace the frame of the aircraft in such a way that the real strength would be in both the hull and the middle floor. in bot the ground and middle flour could carry cargo. or even just the hull with out a middle floor. would it be possible yes. you can engineer it until it does work on a aircraft. is it cheap? no.
1
@andyowens5494 yes now it is not likely. if they looked in to it at the beginning of the A380 program it might have been interesting.
