@smithsmithenson9536 the DVD players in those cars where also so that you could combine it with a digital roadmap. Like before the ride you would look up the route you wanted to drive on your computer. drag said file on the dvd. place DVD in car and show that roadmap. if fancy you could use those in combination with radio towers to get a vage idea where you are. (GPS was not that common in privet use)

@_..-.._..-.._ ? nope what? I am pretty sure that Citroën tried to implement that. I am taling about very late 1990 to early 2002 where most still had to use a paper map but some companies dried to sell digital version. Like in the Netherlands the ANWB had a digital version. you just needed to buy the CD with all the roads on it. that cd you would use at home on your pc. select the route you wanted and ether print it out. or some did they to have a way to bring that up on your car system. it would then only use arrows and some names to point you in the direction if you drove the correct road. Don't go off that road because then you are on your own.

@avirajsinghmehta1857 I had both the Walkman and later the Discman. But then my parents almost exclusively bought Sony items at they where just very reliable back then

pff Itunes Who would use that? I just gave my mothers pc aids while using LimeWire. I had every virus you could dream of.
