@Esablaka @naoise122 same in in the Netherlands be it Miele, Bosh, Beco or any other brand. only cold water and only one place for detergent. (all the way back in to the late 1990's ) I do have to say most people I know do pre rinse there most dirty dishes a bit. (sometimes just dumping them in to the sink with a bit of still water will do)

@arienh4 I have to say the last Miele my mother had was in one bought in 2003. after that she had two Etna. I in my own home only have myself as a dishwasher.

@SebastianSpiess i now own a table top dishwasher and even on the short wash it does most work. the only thing it might have a bit of issue with are certain items that can act like glue or hydrophobic if not agitated with a brush or something. A good example can be tomato pastes. they can be pretty difficult for a dishwasher to remove as the stains might form a small dome that acts hydrophobic until you use something to break that film.
