  7. I worked in the Bakkan oil field in North Dakota. We were drilling 10,000 feet down plus. I wonder how dinosaurs got down there to die and make oil? Yes, I agree, oil is abiotic. The problem we run into is that if we use it up faster than it seeps in, then we will have shortages. But oil is being renewed every day...but slowly.

  15. Money goes a lot farther everywhere if you know how to spend it. A big problem in the West is that people don't know how to spend it. They consider makeup, false eyelashes, new cars, and large houses as needs rather than wants.

If it wasn't the dollar it would just be something else. People need a recognized and agreed on unit of trade. In the past it was silver and gold. What it is doesn't matter as long as everyone agrees on its value. It's pretty hard to trade nickel straight across for corn or coal for machines. Money was developed to be a portable form of exchange.

  20. It's an old Arabic custom from what I understand. It is traditional for a group of people to all eat out of one large bowl. You always use your right hand to reach into the bowl with because you use your left hand for wiping yourself. Eating with your left hand risks poisoning the bowl for everyone. A penalty for stealing was to have your right hand cut off which meant you could no longer eat with other people. Perhaps someone more acquainted with Arabic culture can correct me if I am wrong.

  22. I don't like investing in something that I don't see. Similar to the companies that you buy physical gold from but they "store it in their vault". If it is not in my possession then I don't own it. If I invest in art I want it hanging on my wall, not stored in some nebulous location.

  30. The planet is in no danger. It has warmed up hundreds of times in the past and we weren't there to "save" it. It will get through this one too, whether we try to save it or not. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid. The whole climate scam is about control of the people by the elites who will profit trillions of dollars.
