In the 1930s, the whole world watched as Hitler built a world-class military...and did nothing. The result was the biggest war in human history. The same thing is happening now with China. The whole world is watching Xi build a world-class military and is doing nothing. I suspect the result will be the same as with Hitler: millions of lives lost. Why do our leaders not learn from history? The old saying is "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". What the world could do now is just economically cut China off. All that plastic crap people buy at Walmart funds the PLA. Let's stop it cold. If the world just stopped importing and exporting to China they wouldn't have the money to fund their military. And for once, we could stop a war before it began.
