  1. While in all of the pictures of China we see big, tall, glitzy city scenes with coordinated light shows dancing across the buildings, a few miles away a peasant is plowing his field with a water buffalo and a sharp stick. China is a big Potemkin village. Look it up.

  2. Don't worry, the Chinese have that covered. None of these buildings will last 70 years. They start crumbling almost immediately after construction. Tofu-dreg and all that.

  3. So "some assembly required"? What a country. The good thing is they probably won't have much of an illegal immigrant problem since no one in their right mind would want to live there. If China ever builds a wall around itself it won't be to keep people out but to keep them in.
