  4. It's a "skycrapper" with a typo. Which reminds me, have you heard about China's newest building project? It's a 35,000 foot tall building shaped like a toilet. Yep, largest pot in the world. Be sure and buy now. Construction will start...soon.

  5. It sounds like they are certainly big on the passion but the lining up of full financing seems to be their weak point. I guess it's a Chinese spin on "build it and they will come", sort of "make a really swell tabletop model of it and dig a hole and they will finance".

  16. Ever notice how obsessed with that so many oriental men are? They are killing off all the rhinos because ground rhino horn is supposed to do the same thing. For being so "civilized" they sure are a bunch of ignorant barbarians. Sidenote: with women today that place where "men need it the most" is their wallet.  @lettucesalad3560

  17. The big mall where I grew up was (gasp!) actually finished and became the centerpiece of the entire area before being demolished 30 years later. I think the owners recouped their investment many times over. Maybe not as quick as collecting all the money up front and disappearing to the Cayman Islands but certainly more honorable.

  19. Tofu airplanes can't fly, but they do taxi like nobody's business. So the upper floors are safe but the ground floor is definitely in peril.

  20. I'm not sure that is even a consideration in China. Mao stated "if there are 600 million Chinese and 300 million die, there are still 300 million Chinese". Kind of a "let them eat cake" with Chinese characteristics.
