  4. I don't think China understands metal tempering. Most Chinese metal you can fold in half with your bare hands. I've seen videos of construction workers taking rebar and folding it into origami with just their hands.

  8. Could be what the different countries put on the roads to melt the snow. Salt, sodium chloride is bad, but in Juneau Alaska for a while they were using potassium chloride which caused the cars to basically rust in half. You didn't see a car anywhere on the road there that was more than 4 or 5 years old. @artur6912
