  1. I have come to the belief that the average Chinese is just as cutthroat as their leaders. Their government being the horrible way it is is just a reflection of the Chinese character. Any one of "those poor Chinese people" would be just as ruthless, greedy, and power-mad if given the chance.   3. Yes, the CCP cares about power and not the wealth of the country as long as they, the CCP, can steal enough to be comfortable themselves. I think Xi wants China to go back to the days of Mao where everyone was poor and did what they were told or else their food was cut off. A poor country but one under total control. Xi sees himself as Mao 2.0. Outsiders keep wondering why the central government doesn't jump in and help the economy. It's because they want it to go down. They have seen that as people get wealth they start having ideas of their own and questioning the CCP and that cannot be allowed so their wealth will be allowed to go away.

  4. I agree about dying empires and war, but I'm not sure if it'll be WW3. Hopefully it'll go down in history as the Sino-American War instead. It depends on whether it goes nuclear. And we are all aware of the low quality of Chinese products. I wonder if their nukes are any better? Maybe if they try to launch them all they'll accomplish is irradiating themselves. Now that would be ironic.

  5. That's why people say "oh, you've been predicting that China would collapse for years and it's still here". Well, it takes a long time for a big country to finish the process. They are collapsing and they will continue to do so. It is irreversable. But it's not going to happen in an instant. America is also collapsing, everyone sees it. But yet here we are. But don't worry. It will happen. It's just that China will collapse first. And Russia is collapsing too. And then America will be the last man standing...until it collapses. Look how long it took for Rome to collapse. All empires collapse because they become too wealthy, the people become too soft and self-indulgent, and the leadership becomes too corrupt.

  10. All major aspects of their economy are down: real estate, foreign investment, consumer spending, and exports, yet the CCP still reports a positive GDP...and you believe it. OK. @ssddkar3577

  11. Knowing China, that high defect rate won't matter. They'll slap those defective chips right into a phone and send it out to the market. It will be interesting to see what the failure/defect/return rate on those new "miracle" Chinese phones are. Quality control is not a Chinese concept.
