The Leftist US media loves showing America in a bad light. Interestingly, they also love showing China in a good light. Almost makes you think that they want the US to become another China.   17. I was in Rio 1987-1988. Geez, what a beautiful city...from the air. Once you land and walk around, different story. That's sort of like all the China footage shown on Western media: soaring skyscrapers with coordinated light shows, 6 lane highways looping around, but at ground level a whole other world going on.

  20. I read somewhere some time ago, I know, what a credible source, but it said that Mao was responsible for 80 million to 100 million Chinese deaths. And he is revered to this day, his portraits everywhere, and he's even on the money. He was the greatest mass murderer of all time and yet he's celebrated and looked up to. He killed more Chinese than anyone yet the Chinese fulminate about all the nations that ruled over them and treated them badly but love him. That makes me think there is something deeply flawed in the Chinese psyche. @Manx123

  22. That's why it's still better to be homeless in America. At least here if you get sick of NY winters you can hitchhike to Florida to be homeless in a better climate. Even the homeless are free here. So all of you saying "well, America is no better" you're forgetting something, something rather large. @foraminutethere23
