  2. One huge (common) mistake in the video: you can only use past velocity to predict the future if: 1. No one leaves the dev team; and 2. No one joins the dev team; and 3. All leave (both planned leave and unplanned leave) is known in advance. Anyone who has been in the industry a while knows that those three cannot be known in advance, and so prediction is only possible a short distance into the future. Never make long term predictions like implied here.
