  1. It generally takes thousands or millions of viruses or germs being ingested before enough get a foothold and are able to overwhelm the immune system. So while it's possible that just a single one could infect a person, it's highly unlikely unless they have an extremely compromised immune system. In addition, if it leaves 1 germ alive on your hand, the chances that it will be on the part of your hand that touches your nose is very small.

  4. As a helicopter pilot, surely you know that you can move Forward and Backwards, Side to Side, and Up and Down, in addition to Pitch Roll and Yaw. Maybe you are thinking of a camera on a ball head tripod which only has 3 degrees of freedom, since the tripod holds it in a fixed location, but as I am sure you know, a helicopter is not fixed in a location, so now has 6 degrees of freedom. This is why it is called 6 degrees of freedom, instead of six axis, because it is not talking about axies, but about movement.
