Rivian is getting free press, which is great right up until Tesla releases a truck that has better specs than the Rivian and for a lot less (and likely delivering it sooner), and all the hype over Rivian offering something that Tesla isn't, turns into a giant ad for Tesla. Look at the Taycan. "we may not have specs as good as Tesla, but we are much faster on the Ring!" Then... "Tesla sets new 4 door speed record on the Ring, in a 7 passenger sedan, blowing Porsche away during a practice session! ' Go ahead, build up the hype that you are better than Tesla, it's fun watching what happens next ;)
