Abe Garfield so there is no reason for us to have a Constitution, with protections for free speach, and rules against unreasonable searches? If we are not doing anything wrong then we should not complain about our privacy being invaded? Seems very authoritarian, and like what we were trying to escape when we created the US. Are you wanting to undo that protection now?

You quite literally give the social media companies specific PERMISSIONS to access all that data on your phone when you install their app. Look at the App permissions and see what you agreed to, and their user agreement, etc. That's like complaining that the maid has full access to your house when you are not home, when you gave her the key and told her when you are not home lol

@bussinflavorsinc.8104 I don't know about you, but I am smart enough to be able to look at the App permissions on my phone and see exactly what they have access to, and I can change that in the OS, and FB or whoever has no ability to change it back. So if you are scared, go turn off the permissions manually.

@bussinflavorsinc.8104 of course your phone pings when you get near a tower, that's how cell phones work, they ping all the towers around them constantly to see which has the strongest signal to route the call or data through. And the keyword trigger is part of certain apps, but that can be disabled. It's not a government thing. And the very fact that CNN was able to get proof of the data collected by the government, shows that you haven't had the same thing done to you, or you too would be able to get proof like cnn was able to.

@hillbillybackwoods actually he's been in his current job since Reagan was President, which is why he actually knows what he's talking about and isn't afraid to contradict people who don't know what they are talking about lol

@hillbillybackwoods and my statement was sarcasm anyway since Trump doesn't like people who don't agree with him, especially not scientists who disagree with his wishes, so there's a good chance he will be fired.

The sad thing is, compared to most of the other politicians I have heard talk the last few years saying similar things, she sounds pretty rational! Now, better than swamp slime isn't saying much, but it's something... I hope she takes a lot of votes away from the other people I don't want leading our state!

Yes, and we are trying to keep it that way. If we get to the point where more are dying from this than other diseases, it will just speed up even faster, like a wind driven fire storm.
