@ericgulseth74 big difference between the US and Europe is that Europe tends to have people clustered together in compact towns and cities, with at least some level of logic in their layout. The US people tend to spread out and want their own land rather than just a garden, and drape over hills where running cables is very expensive, with a long way between houses. And the further from a main office you get, the more expensive the equipment it takes to maintain good speeds.

@nicosmind3 as someone from a county near Scott that had close to half of the county burn, so far, this year, (including one whole town) I can tell you that while the government land burns badly (mostly Federal land by the way, not state), the private forests burn just as hot, as do the private shrubs and the trees down the city streets, and pretty much everything else in front of one of these fire storms, so it really has nothing to do with forest management, because the carefully managed parks and back yards are burning as well.
