@NACAM42 the Wright Flyer did not have much payload, but it was fully reusable, and designed for testing and learning, not for carrying a payload. SSTO is possible, but if you can't reuse it, and you can't get a useful payload on it, it just becomes a really expensive toy that no one wants to fund. So having an SSTO solves no problems and doesn't really teach us anything, except that we should do the math! Lol

@donjones4719 Elon said Starship could go SSTO, with no payload, no landing legs or fins (to save weight), and it is wouldn't have enough fuel remaining to be able to land, so one way, useless, SSTO leading to a burned up rocket.
