It may be the case that a target might change its status from civilian to military or vice versa. For example, if an anti-aircraft battery is positioned on the roof of a school or if a sniper takes up a position on the minaret of a mosque, the protection provided for the facility by the virtue of it being [a] civilian target is no longer valid, and the attacker is permitted to attack it. The legal responsibility for the deaths of civilians in such a case is that of the side that made unreasonable use of a civilian target rather than on the side who attacked this target.

The moment a civilian infrastructure is used for military purpose its status changes. This is accordance with the rules of war. If Israel is questioned, lets us all hold the same standard and check the rules of war of other country and see if its the same rules.

@neanderthalensis1856 Where did the native people who live in Japan go? You forgot about the Ainu people?

@neanderthalensis1856 What happened to the Jomon people in Japan? Where did they go?

@neanderthalensis1856 The Ainu are one of the only major ethnic minorities in the Japanese islands with a distinct and highly unique culture and way of life. They were subject to forced assimilation, colonization, and ethnic and cultural genocide by the larger Japanese populace since at least the 18th century.

@山親父-t4h Who in the world told you there is doubt? The whole world knows there are tunnels under schools. hospitals, and mosques in Gaza. These infrastructures' status changes when there are tunnels beneath them

@neanderthalensis1856 In a 2009 news story, Japan Today reported, "Many Ainu were forced to work, essentially as slaves, for Wajin
