Russia's industrial capacity will be futile as logistics would become the prime factor. In this case it will be a logistical challenge for Russia. Israel's industrial capacity would come on top since the war will be fought in Israel's backyard.

@zide8860 What you see falling from the skies are "dead missiles", debris or part of the missiles after interceptions. They were dropping from the sky with kinetic momentum thus the lack of warhead or rather the weak explosions. No doubt there were successful impacts but what is the damage ultimately? An air base hangar and a school. Has Russia ever intercepted a ballistic missile outside of earth's atmosphere in real time combat? No.

@zide8860 For the sake of argument, let us say Israel and Russia shares the same border. Russia has the industrial capacity edge but Israel has the technology edge. Israel is not Ukraine. Israel will conduct SEAD and then conduct deep strikes on production facilities, oil refineries, ammo depots, supply lines etc.. How do you even produce tanks and artillery shells when your facilities have already been destroyed? Your industrial might becomes irrelevant.

@zide8860 Russia having such huge land makes it all the more difficult to supply its forces as the nearest production facilities are destroyed the further it gets to re-supply. What does Iron Dome have to do with October 1? Iron Dome wasn't built to intercept ballistic missiles, Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 does it.

Of course we would expect them to explode when they land because they are flammable. Show us the satellite images of the damage other than the hangar and the school. Iran launched a total of 200 ballistic missiles and all they hit were a hangar and a school? Quite laughable especially when Iran is using their trump card.

@zide8860 Let me make it simpler for you to understand. Has Russia ever intercepted a hostile ballistic missile in its lifetime? The answer is no, Russia has literally zero experience in intercepting ballistics missiles. Don't compare Russia's air defense technology with Israel because Israel is on a different level.

During the late 1970s, the Israeli aircraft inventory was basically the same as the US (F-4s, A-4s) during the Vietnam War. Both the Vietnam War and the Six Days/Yom Kippur War happened in the 1967 to 1973 time-frame. The same analogy can be seen between the Arab armies and the North Vietnamese in terms of equipment, with MiG-17s, MiG-19s and MiG-21s. The North Vietnamese had about 16 aces throughout the War while the US only had 3 aces. At the same time Egypt had 5 aces and Syria had 7 aces. Israel had 49 aces. Don't forget the Israel-Arab and the American-Vietnamese battles happened while having the same aircraft and equipment.

Russia said the Israeli aircraft "pushed" the Russian Ilyushin 20 (IL-20) surveillance turboprop plane into the line of fire. "Using the Russian jet as a shield, the Israeli pilots put it in the fire of Syrian air defense systems, as a result 15 Russian servicemen have died".
