There are only 2 nations in the world who have ever intercepted ballistic missiles in space in real time combat, Israel and the US. Thus it is a given that intercepting ballistic missiles is one of the most complex operation in all of the history of warfare since they travel at hypersonic speeds and fly at altitudes outside of earth's atmosphere, it is equivalent to hitting another bullet with a bullet. But what surprises us is that Iran couldn't even intercept fighter jets. Now that is a joke.

If Iran can't intercept fighter jets, what makes you think they can intercept the missiles which are much more difficult to intercept?

1. Is Iran capable of flying its air force 2,000 km across hostile neighbors and conduct suppression of enemy air defenses like how Israel conducted? No. 2. Is Israel capable of launching ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones towards Iran like how Iran conducted against Israel? Yes. Conclusion: Israel is capable of doing what Iran does but Iran is not capable of doing what Israel does.

@rasheedh7043 There were still fuel residual in the "dead missiles" which were intercepted. There is also kinetic energy. This is why the explosions were so weak, the warheads have been neutralized.

In 1967 without the US, Israel wipeout Egypt's entire air force in less than 3 hours. Don't forget with Jordan and Syria's combined armies assisted by the Soviet and more than 10 Arab states.

@TheMaqsoodShow Israel did achieved quite number of things. Took out S-300 air defenses. Took out ballistic missile component infrastructures, took out drone facility, took out IRGC base. What Iran achieve? Holes on the ground in the desert mostly.
