@acctsys Your point is logical only if production lines are not able to get hit. If the US was not isolated on another continent during WW2, Germany would have hit Sherman production lines.

The real issue would be how many of them in service is China able to maintain? What is the maximum total number of nuclear powered submarines could China maintain. The US has likely almost already reached its maximum total. Yes China has the industrial capacity to produce warships fast, however maintaining them is another issue. Can China maintain 300 nuclear powered submarines? I doubt because China's economy will be affected. China would probably have to downsize its land force or ballistic missiles stockpile to maintain such a huge fleet of submarines.
