It is not that Turkey don't need it, it is simply Turkey doesn't have the technology and know-how to produce one that performs as efficient as it. There are different variants of the Iron Dome. For one, the I-Dome, it protects maneuvering ground forces from rockets, artillery, and mortars. Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 intercepts ballistic missiles outside earth's atmosphere. Both of them are combat proven. And then there are David's sling, Barak 8 and SPYDER, each of them acts as different layers of defense from range to altitude. Israel is the first nation in the world to intercept ballistic missile in space in real time combat. You are confusing testing with real combat interception.

China is producing the weapons and systems you mentioned too but everyone knows they suck. Turkey's products are known to be similar to "made in China" systems. 5th generation fighter jet? Israel already produced the latest generation fighter jet of its time in the 1980s. Israel could easily design and produce its own 5th generation stealth fighter if it so decides, but for a small country it becomes costly. It is more favorable to buy it off the shelve.

@nadirhikmetkuleli There are a couple of definitions of the meaning. The context that I was speaking about refers to developed or under developed economy. They buy Israeli drones because they are efficient and capable. They don't buy Turkey's drones because they know it is similar to "made in China" product.

The rockets may be unguided short range but they are launched as an saturation attack which are far more difficult to intercept than ballistic missiles which are not launched in the thousands at a time. Moreover these are short range rockets which means the defender only has less than a minute to shoot down hundreds if not thousands of rockets at a given time due to the close distance while ballistic missile would take minutes to hours to reach its target. Giving the air defense ample time to shoot them down. Ballistic missiles can not be efficiently rained down upon cities because of their expensive price and limited huge launchers, while these unguided short ranged rockets can rain down on cities overwhelming the air defense in the process. It is far more complicated to shoot these short range rockets than ballistic missiles.
