  1. During the 2006 Lebanon War, only five Merkava tanks were destroyed. Most of the tanks engaged were Merkava IIIs and earlier versions, only a few of the tanks used during the war were Merkava Mark IVs. Hezbollah fired over 1,000 anti-tank missiles during the conflict. Out of 1,000 anti tanks missiles fired only 5 Merkava were destroyed. Then the rest was history Israel spanked Hezbollah

  2. Merkava tanks are not going to Ukraine, they are going to a fellow NATO member nation to replace the tanks which it gave to Ukraine.

"Our tanks are the most armored in the world, but there's no such thing as 100 percent protected" 4. Israel has a small population and it values lives. Therefore even if it scores 95 points over 100 for a test Israel will still complain, which is a good thing. Israel wants to improve and will do so. Therefore Trophy active systems and Iron fists were invented. If by this you mean wake up call then yes. Every war is a lesson and a wake up call.

  9.  @mbtenjoyer9487  Most Western tanks in Ukraine were destroyed by Russia's Kornet missiles not Russia's air force. Older Merkava tanks had taken hit from Kornet anti tank missiles. There are many instances where the Merkava took a minimum of 4 missiles and still survived. Tanks would do worse in Lebanon as IEDs are planted on one way roads. In Ukraine, there are different types of terrain. Whatever the case, Merkava tanks are not going to Ukraine, they are going to a fellow NATO member nation to replace the tanks which it gave to Ukraine.
