@garyclark6727 Those hundred thousand rockets that Iran have are short range rockets, like the ones Hamas and Hezbollah uses. Iran have 300-400 Shahab-1 and Shahab-2 medium range missiles which have the range of 500km. These missiles can't even hit Israel.
The ones which can hit Israel are the Shahab-3 missile which have the range of about 1300km. Iran have a few hundred Shahab-3 missiles, and 25-50 launchers for this version. Which means Iran can only fire 25-50 missiles at the same time together and then they will have to reload which takes about 30 minutes to an hour. This means every 30-60 minutes Iran can fire 25-50 missiles towards Israel. This is why Iran needs Hezbollah and Hamas because they can do better than Iran in terms of firepower with their 150,000 short range rockets since they are closer. Gaza fired over 1,000 rockets towards Israel the last war, now you multiply the effects times 100 you get an estimate of the damage it will deal to Israel with their 150,000 rockets. You seriously think this would bring victory? This will only affect the daily lives but in term of damage, it's inefficient. It's equivalent to flies flying at your face.
Israel have Spyder, Barak MX, David's sling and Arrow anti air defense systems to shoot Iranian missiles down. Those huge launchers in Iran will be targeted by Israeli drones, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and fighter jets. Even if Iran's proxy Hezbollah and Hamas enters the war with hundreds of thousands of rockets, we see how inefficient they are even if Iron Dome misses. Israel could occupy Gaza and Lebanon simultaneously in a couple of days. Think about this, it will only take a single day for Israel to enter half deep into Lebanon. And when Israel is in Lebanon, more than 60% of the rocket firing rate will stop. Iran stands no chance against Israel, mass producing low end ballistic missiles and drones won't cut it. You are comparing a 3rd world country with a technological powerhouse Israel.
