  27. Every city has a 'sense of place' (a spiritual imprint), a 'texture' (the local architectural style, vegetation, landmarks natural and built) and a sense of 'smell'. Eventhough I have never been to Russia, I knew from the first day where Alex went for vacation, from visually recognizing the 'texture' on the video. The Cyrillic writing on the shop signs, confirmed it.
