  3. Every city has a 'sense of place' (a spiritual imprint), a 'texture' (the local architectural style, vegetation, landmarks natural and built) and a sense of 'smell'. Eventhough I have never been to Russia, I knew from the first day where Alex went for vacation, from visually recognizing the 'texture' on the video. The Cyrillic writing on the shop signs, confirmed it.

  4.  @_ellysm_  WOW! If only there was money and proper maintenance standards for the infrastructure, and to do that in major cities in the US, Canada and Europe!!! (Oh I forget, we have to feed the grifters...). I truly find it amazing, as I have worked on site and urban planning and appreciate the level of upkeep.
