I prefer chiclet style keyboard than classic. Where's your God now?! :v

PulseAudio have problems with lowlatency audio and stupidily high CPU usage in realtime mode.

In Polish we have "Rogacz" term which means "c***old",or horned, as you said.

1. MAC randomization is built in to android 2. LTE Only mode as well, but not that easily exposed (mostly using 'secret code')

Video editors are not ffmpeg frontends, ffmpeg can't do many effects etc directly, it's up to the video editor software, not ffmpeg - ffmpeg is used here as renderer of video project, not much else. Gstreamer plugins and other things are tools to do video editing, not ffmpeg. Using ffmpeg here is like using avidemux, only totally simple stuff. So you're wrong here as heck. I know, so muh minimalis and "efficency", but sometimes it's not totally worth it to hassle with often obscure software just to automate things that's just availiable in more "bloated" software like Thunderbird.

Maybe you haven't seen them in real life, but I met arch linux elitists, typical and not typical ones. I mean - in real life, not on internet. They were screaming that I shuld use Arch Linux even if there're a downsides to do it.

It will be easier then to say Freedom software instead of Free software. Sounds little awkward, but it won't create any confusion.

Kitty have GPU accel as well, which can help when you have more heavyweight CLI software or massive logs to be viewed

Sorry but no, as a guy who works with resource intensive software like CAD software I disagree, both in terms of performance and look. Sorry, not everyone wants to have with him chunky laptop for work and not everyone loves older keyboard with higher "jump". Now, come one and downvote my comment. For video creation they suck too. UEFI is superior to old BIOS in many ways even if it have some flaws.

Out of those 3, AppImages are best basically, because they are packed together and you don't need to think about problems during compilation of software. More noob-friendly than compilation for most people and when you distro hop sometimes :) BTW. I'm using Fedora ;)

@4.0.4 Basically, yes.
2
+ Arch Linux sucks BTW :v

Text ia not space efficient, binary data is :)
2
Poland is not Easter Russia :P

It's industry standard because it have best compatibility with all PDF features and formatting out there, like fillable forms or weird formatting in mBank pdf summary file, where only Foxit Reader on Linux can print it properly, or Adobe Reader on windoze...

So I'm different person, because I regret trying living without cellphone

@desktorp Never.

Why people love Apple products? Coherent experience

OpenSUSE FTW!
1
Second thing - what if your application depends on feature which was on earlier version of library, and then it was removed? AppImages solves that, but package manager will left you with not working software.
1
To check internet speed from CLI use speedtest-cli package.

@LukeSmithxyz What do you think about pblog xyz then? Pandoc based, but might require more work than hugo tbh

Tracktion, Waveform...
1
@Jupiter__001_ If Tracktion and Waveform are not professional grade, then I don't know what are they. Have you checked them?
1
Maybe check out PipeWire with pipewire-media-session or WirePlumber then? It's still not perfect and lacks "native" mixer, but works :) For pulseaudio not starting - just enable user systemd service in background first with systemctl enable --now --user pulseaudio

AND do not forget some software that needs older libs than Arch can provide AND AUR is flooded with script kiddies crap that don't work without changing. If you want stable rolling release - choose OpenSUSE Tumbleweed with OpenQA tests. If you want some little niche software to run on Arch - it's PITA, and on top of all, AUR helpers sucks, too.Manual only works the best.
1
@Crux161 I know, but Pulseaudio is great for typical consumption of media, not to create it. JACK2 shines there, but JACK2 + PA + realtime = smashing hard every CPU out there.
1
@TheDivad42 in the shape or form yes, but I've seen it when using software called CANoe - BLF files which are binary ones are much smaller in size than pure text based like asc ones :)

Lack of trackpoint - good thing Chiclects with slim chassis - good thing :v

T480/T490, or if it does not need to be Lenovo - HP Dev One maybe? Will tick at least first 4 points
1
@peterjansen4826 well, say it to governments and other to use html and css instead of friendly to use pdf editors like Master PDF Editor. It's standard.
1
@peterjansen4826 I don't want to use that either, that's why I'm using Foxit Reader on Linux.
