For at least slightly hardened kernel and userspace, I can recommend openSuSE as distro :) For kernel itself, grsec should be used + they had some comments on linux security in general For FreeBSD - Bryan had video about their Code of Conduct quite long time ago. @GamerBoy705_yt in reality, if you want to have as broad spectrum of posts as possible, still you need to register to few lemmy instances, since some of them federate with X, but not with Y, and other way around :)

Not only Librem 5 can disable antennas etc, PinePhone also can :) For Internal RTC battery - there's no way to be able to pull enough juice to power up something more than RTC clock inside CPU :)

About OEM - there are programs of Ubuntu on Dells, HP, Lenovo HW and more. Problem with that, it is hard to find those laptops/PCs on normal stores like Walmart etc.

For passwords, alongside password manager, I'd recommend xkcd method for generating passwords, easier for your memory to generate, maybe more secure, and easy to make them looooong
