Afraid of change from Linux to Windows, because being feared of change what you know is normal for human kind, so you're not that "special snowflake". Everyone is afraid of changes in their lives, so don't use that argument, it's totally invalid. I'm afraid of change from Linux to Windows, just like you. Mostly people use that software like Adobe Creative Cloud or Microsoft Office for their work, in which they were in many years so they're used to it as well as you to the KDenLiveShotcut/Whatever and Linux. It's human nature for goodness sake. Don't close on closed source software just because it's closed. We need to be open for everyone, even if they don't bring Free and Open Source software to the linux world. Without Steam and it's Proton, Linux gaming just don't exists at all. Linux ecosystem don't exists under a vaccumed ball after all, but on a brutal market, where without wide spread of availiable software is tough to survive at all.

  2. I often hear that someone needs adobe or Microsoft software and I understand why. 1. They're used to it 2. Sorry folks, Adobe Creative Suite smashes with it's features any alternative. Price/performance is on FOSS side, but we can't compare ourselves to that behemoths. About Microsoft Office - if you don't know, formatting differencies between MSO and LO exists because MSO uses "broken" implementations of their extensions, and LO uses "reference" implementations. About Adobe - their software is best tied between themself on the marked. I use FOSS software all day long, but sometimes FOSS alternative simply doesn't exists or just don't cut it. Yes, we have blender, GIMP etc, but they don't always fit where you need that. We as a community need closed source software for more people come here and help each other with Linux adoption.
