  2.  @steveschlackman4503  soldered usb port is more robust than port on flexi cable + can be replaced. Not that easy as unplug cable, but still doable.

  3.  @steveschlackman4503  For me it's better to have more robust, in terms of physical strength, I/O ports but harder to replace (not impossible, just little bit harder) than easier to replace but weaker. Really tough port is IMO worth the effort to replace it

  4.  @castin5244  I was thinking about abuse plugging in and out, pulling hardly etc - It's still pretty easy with USB-C port on flex cable. USB-C on pcb will be more robust, because that force will be spreaded around whole board, not only connector

  5.  @razaelll  They just don't use vias in pads to reinforce that pads. Costs nothing, just assembly house hates you.
