  1. The major problem with nuclear energy is the huge cost, the unknowable cost of decommissioning and storing of the waste. Thorium is a good alternative but it too has considerable problems. Nuclear fusion will solve the problem in the next 30 + 30 + 30 + …….. years, perhaps.
