  1. Mistakes were made, but as I know from experience, it is very difficult to appreciate just how quickly and dangerously the Cairngorm weather can change. ALWAYS be prepared for the worst. And always be prepared to turn back quickly if conditions begin to deteriorate beyond your preparations.
