  2. Chicago economics assumes we are all equal, with equal opportunities and equal market abilities. Pricing in that system is based on “what the market will bear”, in other words, as much as the seller can screw out of the buyer. Neither of these have anything to do with fair allocation of resources or the wellbeing of citizens.
