Alas most politicians and media are more interested in power and money.

@adenwellsmith6908 poverty is not imported. Some I immigrants may be poor when they arrive, but with few exceptions they are young, fit willing to work and contribute to our national wealth. They also do many of the low paid jobs British born people don’t want to do.

Parliament? It’s just a public school bear bating pit, point scoring, as described by that “honourable member” David Davis.

@adenwellsmith6908 While the average wage on the UK is £35,750, this is not related to the amount spent per person in public services.

@adenwellsmith6908 Mr Average is irrelevant. If those with the highest incomes paid proportionately the same as those on low incomes, the tax revenue would be billions greater. At present there is truly HUGE. wastage of revenue in the idiot HS2 @ around £100bn, refurbishing the Palace of Westminster @ £3 or 4 or more billions plus unusable trident submarines costing uncountable billions. The OBR calculated, a few years ago, that the cost to the state of care and services of migrants (excluding boat people) was less than their contribution to GDP. The Rwanda plan costs £1.8pm to £2bn for each migrant. It would cost considerably less to accommodate them in the Ritz. The cost of immigration is a direct result of government stupidity.

@adenwellsmith6908 1. Not many criminals have that in their documents. 2. Yes, no discrimination on race/colour etc. 3. Allow immigrants to work on arrival while being processed, so they can contribute.
