  4. One of the first things I realised when was a student was just how ignorant most politicians are on anything except classics and classical philosophy. Occasionally one might have studied something else, Thatcher had a science education but either knew NOTHING about economics or was blatantly lying (probably both). Our entire parliamentary system needs drastic reform.
