  1. The great opportunity now opening up is federalism. If Britain was a federation of equals, not a union, it would be possible for each republic (its time!) to try out different policies which might suit their different societies, and allow the other republics to follow or reject. Central control was a conspicuous failure in the Soviet Union, it is demonstrably failing in the UK. Starmer will of course oppose this. He has to go.
