  1. Prosperity is exactly what I saw when I lived in Russia, while Britain in particular slid into decline. The solution for Ukraine in mutually guaranteed neutrality. If the US (pretending to be NATO) had agreed to this, there would have been no war. Russia needs secure buffer states, just as the US has. But unlike the US, she doesn’t demand hegemony, 183 military bases in foreign countries and a military budged greater than the next nine countries. If the US/NATO actually want an end to the war (this is a serious question) they will have to accept that Russia can not and will not allow Ukraine to join NATO.
