  1. We need not just to overhaul the system, but to start from the beginning and ask why we are sending children to school. I totally agree - Student lead. Throw the old system out! Look to Finland for some good ideas. As a retired teacher, I have long questioned the value of homework, and the many ossified traditions that bedevil out ancient system.
