  1. The education system is, and was, designed to produce compliant obedient little consumers, and bits to plug into industrial/commercial production. Exams are organised to make them easier to be marked by computer. The idea of allowing the student to display his/her talents and knowledge doesn't even register. We need a national debate to ask why we are educating children? There follow many, many questions about how, what, why, who....
