  1. If Birch is native, plant Birch. Don't use exotic species. Just look at the multitude of problems that have occurred throughout the world from introducing non-native species. Find how to use birch. The Russian While birch is a nice hard wood when kept dry, it grows fast, and is pretty soil tolerant. What else was native? Aspen? (Not much use). Pines? Other conifers?

  2.  @damionkeeling3103  I hope they grow Siberian Larch.. It's slow growing, but the wood is exquisite, strong, durable, workable and beautiful, for both furniture and external use.
