Johnson & Grease-Mug are two peas lying in the same pod. Dorries is just bonkers. Johnson as foreign secretary would be yet another international embarrassment. Hopefully Johnson can sink the Tories for a very long time.

Dories has stated that Johnson is honest, when she knows, as we ALL do, that he’s a serial liar. She too is a liar.
12
I think Sunak wants to leave Tinkerbell all the space she wants to make an utter fool of herself.
12
From experience, we know Boris will NOT do the right thing. Johnson has a single priority; SELF.

We need not just to overhaul the system, but to start from the beginning and ask why we are sending children to school. I totally agree - Student lead. Throw the old system out! Look to Finland for some good ideas. As a retired teacher, I have long questioned the value of homework, and the many ossified traditions that bedevil out ancient system.
5
The BBC in the mouth of the Tory establishment.
5
Liz Tinkerbell should be minister for paper clips. Just export Patel to Rwanda. The idea that an economist should be minister for economics (chancellor) is far too unBrexit! He might even fall into the category of “expert” (almost)! Shocking!! Imagine what Gove, or Lady Bracknell would say about that!
5
“Says one thing and does another.” Of course, just followed his boss BloJo.
5
Thinking is of course the ultimate aim (which is why most successful experimental schools, the world over, are eventually closed by governments). Self determined education, which is enjoyable is always and inevitable much more successful than a prescribed curriculum. The one major flaw in Locke's ideas is his lack of appreciation of the place of emotion. Young children learn through their emotions, and adult reasoning is always influenced by emotion, often blinded by emotion.

It has grieved me over the years of my career to see good students get poor results simply because they are poor at memory tricks, or are frightened by exams. Failure produces failure! It really is time to offer more than one exam format - designed to find what the student understands; not what they can repeat on one day.
4
Rees-Smug clever? Yes, slippery arrogant and self righteous.
4
It's also spectacular financial stupidity.
4
Politics in Westminster has descended into a mix of Punch & Judy and a public school playground brawl.
4
Helping people? Well yes of course, if they are wealthy Tory donors.
4
I recall Harris as a beloved performer. I was, like many people, deeply saddened when I learned how he has abused his position. Savile, on the other hand, learned quickly how to abuse his power, and became a truly disgusting character. He even looked lecherous. Those who protected him must live with shame for the rest of their lives.
4
Let’s pray that the Tories will be out of office for generations!
3
Well if we get Sunak rule, at least it won’t be quite so internationally embarrassing as Tinkerbell Truss.
3
Truss is so obviously a puppet, why even mention it? The ERG are in charge, Truss dances in their strings.
3
Boris has failed. That’s the whole story.
3
Keep going, slowly, slowly the truth is emerging from under the turds.
3
I presume Mick Lynch and others can just not turn up for work, and have a holiday, and be paid of course. Or maybe I didn’t understand Tory policy, rules for the common people don’t apply to Johnson et.al.
3
Ethics and the Johnson party? What’s the connection?
3
Congratulations Kwazi! Maybe you have finally succeeded in saving the country, by destroying the Tory party, hopefully once and for ever.
3
A few weeks of homelessness on the streets might perhaps just modify their views of homeless poor. But they won’t ever experience the reality of homelessness.
3
Nadine the Nightmare.
3
Nothing will happen of course. Present day politics contains absolutely no vestiges of “moral compass”, it’s simply a completely self-interested, grubby, dishonest game of power grabbing.
3
Don’t forget us in Brisbane.
3
So much for Tinkerbell’s Oxford education.
3
Boris statesmanlike? Gosh so Peter Rabbit really did exist!
3
Bring on the chaos. That’s the only way to wake up the sleeping voters.
3
Johnson and his cronies will sacrifice anyone, do anything, regardless of any law, in order to cling onto power. Worse is yet to come.
2
But he IS living in cloud-cuckoo land. He's one of Bo-Jo's cabinet.
2
Does anyone believe anything Tinkerbell Truss says?
2
BBC impartial? How can a Tory party controlled organisation possibly be “impartial”? It’s not just a joke, it’s another Tory swindle.
2
May was in the wrong job. She could have been an excellent head of the civil service. But she completely lacked ideas necessary for leadership.
2
Stalin used this technique to rewrite history, but what else would you expect from the deceitful Grant Shapps, or whoever his is. Incidentally maybe you missed it, but the Soviet Union was dissolved over 30 years go.
2
Most of Australia doesn’t have “weather”.
2
Oh!
2
I lived in Russia for 15 years. The airport queues were as bad as Heathrow, and the border police wear permanent scowls, but travelling by train of by bus is so much more pleasant than Britain. Apart from the suburban buses & trains, if you have a ticket, you have a seat. And timetables are reliable.
2
What else would you expect from Tinkerbell? Tinkerbell for PM? This is what you'll get, absolutely spectacular incompetence.
2
Patel should be sent to Rwanda on a one way ticket.
2
Do you really think that there aren’t attacks from western secret services in Russia? And against Russian interests? It has been the US policy the “contain” Russia since 1947. Initially it was explicit. While it has not been on the front pages, the policy has remained active and implicit ever since. The US has an absolutely appalling, disgraceful record of interfering in other countries and their governments, whenever they don’t tow the US line. This criticism of Russia really is the ultimate pot calling the kettle black.
2
Truth is the first casualty of war. Distortion of truth? Do you really think the western media isn't propaganda? Do you think the US didn't and doesn't lie?
2
I just hope “fire’s out” is actually fire out. My father experience of ship fire is that it can reignite unless the whole encasing zone is cool.
2
The refurbishment of the Palace of Westminster is an obscene waste of public funds. Sell it to Disney or Virgin holidays, or let some other turn it into a history theme part. The building is very obviously not fit for purpose in the 21st century. The second chamber should be a house of experts, elected by PR, and with power to hold up unsuitable legislation, and not be overruled by the "lower" chamber.
2
Oh what a jolly child!
2
Liz Truss is the perfect candidate for PM, weak and easily manipulated by the right wing. The ERG would love her.
2
Gove, like so many Tories, is mentally disturbed. “Power tends to corrupt…”
2
Sue Grey was appointed by the Tories. JRM simply can’t believe reality doesn’t follow his opinion.
2
The rot within is becoming very visible.
2
Ministerial code? Is that the title of a comedy?
2
Has Johnson ever played by any rules? Does Sunak? Or Braverman? Or any other of the Tory mob?
2
Johnson has ALWAYS played games with truth. But you seem to be the only sane person who has any faith in Johnson’s ability to do anything more than play games and flatter himself.
2
Bugger Boris would just carry on as normal. He as, as said, absolutely no principles apart from Boris.
2
Pray for Johnson’s survival and the demise of the Tories. Does anyone take Nodding Donkey Dorries seriously? Tinkerbell Truss may provide the Tories with a tissue paper parachute.
2
Are you sure Nadine Dores can read?
2
Nothing short of political revolution will ever sort this problem in a rotten, outmoded system. I hold out no hope of such a thing happening within the next 50 years.
2
Tinkerbell is just a child having a tantrum.
2
C for Hunt. Lovely!
2
OMG! Rule by the ERG, and the UK will be the laughingstock of the world.
2
Johnson leading the Tories into the next election is the best possible option for the Labour Party. He will have become the lead balloon lifting the Tories into oblivion.
2
“The CO2 is just sent off and sequestered.” Where? How? And what “other” renewable energy sources are there apart from electricity?
1
Nadine Doggy yaps on command.
1
Nature does get angry, it just responds to what ever disturbs it, including humans. If you’re in the way, you’ve only your kind to blame.
1
Why isn’t Scotland a leader in both on show and offshore in wind energy? Lots of wind, lots of islands in windy places and a wide continental shelf.
1
Accept them as they are and help them to make the best use of their unique abilities.
1
“Boris” will be remembered as the worst prime minister Britain ever endured, save only for Tinkerbell Truss. As for Zelensky, does being a puppet of the US war mongers make one eligible for a peace prize? How did refusing to implement the Minsk agreement contribute to peace? Refusing to agree to neutrality plunged his country into war, resulting in the deaths of thousands of his citizens. Peace prize? What utter hypocrisy. But that’s a well honed western skill, as we saw in Ethiopia.
1
The US can't forgive the Afghans for not toadying along behind them. They want to place more missiles on the Russian border, and they want Afghanistan's uranium. So they have frozen Afghanistan's assets, they starve its people and now promote attacks on its borders. The US government has truly become the Evil Empire.
1
The Times is owned by Boris’s pall Murdoch.
1
What else would you expect from Tinkerbell, the would-be PM fairy.
1
The Rwanda policy has nothing to do with stemming the flow of immigrants and everything to do with pleasing the extreme racists.
1
😂😂😂😂
1
Alas the wreck of the Pamir, the last square-rigger on the North Atlantic route.
1
Transport is crucial for our country. Renationalise the railways and adequately support them. Roads are nationalised and subsidised, why not railways?
1
Sue Grey was appointed by the Tories. As for Donkey Dorries, she demonstrates the complete lack of value her constituents get for her salary. What would happen if the rest of us just didn’t bother to turn up for work?
1
Braverman isn’t human.
1
I get the impression that American trains don’t have functioning automatic breaks which need to be pulled OFF by the engine’s vacuum system.
1
My experience as a teacher in the UK, was that trying such innovative ideas got me into trouble. Almost universally, head teachers are obsessed with order and control. Effective education is a poor third. But Finland seems to have taken some notice, and the idea of rules by student/staff consensus rather than top down imposed was practiced by a few schools for severely disturbed children in the UK, and in Russia (Kitezh, a community of foster families).

It was been US policy to try to surround and ultimately destroy Russia since at least 1945. This is well documented, the US seriously considered invading Russia after the allied defeat of the axis powers, presumably as they saw Russia as the main obstacle to US hegemony. The agreement between Gorbachev and the US President was that if Russia didn’t oppose the reunification of Germany then the U.S. (NATO) wouldn’t advance eastward, was well known but never committed to a document. That was Gorbachev’s error. WRT the invasion of Czechoslovakia and Hungry, that was during the days of the USSR, not the Russian Federation under Putin. It’s not difficult to imagine the reaction in Washington if California decided to secede. Those Baltic states suffered greatly under the USSR so it’s hardly surprising that they fled into the open arms of the west at the first opportunity. Once Putin had revived Russia, they could have easily swallowed those little Baltic states, but they didn’t. Bush planted missiles in Poland; we know how the US reacted to the possibility of nukes in Cuba. Wilson, you’ve swallowed the western propaganda, hook line and sinker.
1
Nodding dog Dorries? Her remarks illustrate the utter stupidity of a system where ministerial appointments bear absolutely no relationship to the actual knowledge of experience of the candidate. They are simply shuffled like pauns, but in this case, with no more intelligence than a wooden chess 😊
1
As an apologist for that congenital liar, BoJo, you deserve all the derisory comments you receive. How any of the politicians involved in the unscrupulous behaviour Sachs reveals have you met? As an observer a few years older than you, I have been appalled by the behaviour of the US, which has sought to undermine Russia since at least 1945. The fact that the British sought similar world domination in the previous century is no excuse. To use a good Glaswegian expression, “Awa an’ boil yer heed!”
1
Great stuff, Matt. Keep going!
1
Poor Zelenskyy utterly unprepared for politics. The solution is simple. If Zelenskyy talks directly with Putin and agrees to neutrality the war can quickly end.
1
Rowing boats transport? Come on, you can do better than that. Just use a few bottles in the ocean; maybe a net of bottles holding up a container.
