Like many US allies, the Saudis prefer China over the US to participate in their national development as China not only has better construction technology but is more reliable n can complete their infrastructure projects faster at a much lower cost. Besides this, having too close ties with the US carry a high risk as they have no second thoughts about removing any leader that dare disobey their orders

Besides this, having too close ties with the US carry a high risk as they are famous for using their old dirty tricks to topple any leader that dare disobey their orders n replace them with a puppet regime which can be easily bribed to serve their own greed n selfish interests
